Do I need to be able to read music?
No, we learn all songs by ear. There is occasionally sheet music available for people who want it. We also provide practice CDs to listen to and learn songs.

Will I need to audition?
No, no one has to audition to join the choir, and you won't ever have to sing on your own.

Do I have to pay?
To cover expenses we charge £4.00 (£2.50 for concessions) per session.

What kind of songs do you sing?
We sing all kinds of songs in many languages, normally without accompaniment, from Bulgarian songs about knitting socks, to "Love can build a bridge", to the South African National Anthem (one of our favourites!).

Do I need to sign up or let someone know that I'm coming?
No, you can just turn up. Check the events page first to see when we're meeting.

Are there performances?
Yes, we perform regularly in Bath and nearby, but all performances are optional and you are not obliged to perform.

Who leads the choir?
The choir is led by Su Hart, a professional singer who has been leading since the beginning. However, all decisions are made by a committee of members and everyone is welcome to add their input about what goes on in the choir.

Some of the committee members, Su is third from left.

Where do you meet?
We meet at Claremont Methodist Church at Camden, Bath. You can view its exact location by clicking here.

When do you meet?
We meet during term time on Tuesday evenings from 7:15pm to 9:15pm. You can check any upcoming dates on the events page.

What if I can't come to every session?
It doesn't matter if you miss a few sessions, as we provide practice CDs that allow you to learn the songs at home.

How many of you are there?
There are about 40-50 of us altogether, and at a typical session you could expect about 30 people.

What else do you do as a choir?
Every year we have a summer barbecue and a winter supper, as well as regular visits to the pub after sessions on Tuesdays.
